Government Art Collection Acquisition
We are pleased to announce that the UK Government Art Collection has recently purchased Sinta Tantra’s vinyl collage Miami Dizzle (pictured above). The piece was exhibited in Tantra’s solo show earlier on this year at Monika Bobinska Gallery. Miami Dizzle will be displayed in the new British Embassy building designed by John McAslan + Partners in Algiers, Algeria. www.gac.culture.gov.uk

Solo Show: Gaya Fusion Gallery, Bali
Arsenic Fantasy | 15 Nov - 15 Dec, 2009 Supported by the British Council, Sinta Tantra, stages her first international solo show this November in Indonesia. The exhibition explores ideas surrounding fantasy, tourism and contemporary globalisation.Tantra will create a series of dynamic, large-scale black and white murals wrapping around the walls of the gallery. Solo Project at Kingston University, London
The Politics of Seduction | 12 May - 12 June, 2010 7.9 Cubic Metres is a free-standing structure by James Carrigan which operates as an artist-initiated micro-gallery within Stanley Picker Gallery, Kingston University. The structure comprises a ‘white cube’ and a curator’s office appended to its exterior, measuring an approximate 3 x 2 metres in total. It is an autonomous and transitional project space curated by Eliza Tan. Sinta Tantra’s exhibition will be exploring the boundaries of the space; interiors/exteriors and the concept of the artist/curator as a personality and brand. www.7point9cubicmetres.com
